skyemod. is a moderation tool for the y99.in chat platform. It connects to a moderation server that you configure, so that signed-in moderators can view warnings, manage counts, and receive notifications. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles, where it is stored, and who it is shared with.
1. Data we collect
The extension stores the following data locally in your browser so it can connect to your moderation server and keep you signed in:
- Server URL — the address of the moderation server you enter.
- Authentication token — a session token issued by that server when you sign in, used to authorize requests.
- Username — the account name you are signed in as, shown in the extension popup.
- Account role flag — whether the signed-in account has elevated (administrator) privileges, which controls what actions the extension shows.
- Extension settings — your local preferences for how the extension behaves.
- Moderator notes — notes you write about users while moderating. These are sent to and stored on your configured server so they are available when you need them, and can optionally be shared with other moderators in your organization (tenant) if you choose that option when saving.
While you browse y99.in, the extension also reads page content (such as usernames you hover over) locally in order to display moderation information. This content is processed in your browser and is only sent to your configured server when you take a moderation action.
2. How we use data
- Authentication — the token and server URL are used to sign your requests to your moderation server.
- Moderation features — page content is read to show warnings, counts, and notes for the users you moderate.
- Notifications — the extension periodically checks your server for new moderation events and shows you a notification.
- Preferences — your settings are used to remember how you want the extension to behave.
- Moderator notes — notes you write are sent to your server so you (and, if you choose, your team) can see them later.
3. How data is stored
Most of the data listed above is stored locally on your device using the browser’s extension storage. The exception is moderator notes, which are sent to and stored on your configured server (for example, mod.skye.li) so they persist and can be shared with your team when you choose to. Aside from notes, no data is stored on any server operated by the extension’s developer. Your moderation server (which you or your organization operates) stores the moderation data that belongs to it, under its own control.
You can remove all locally stored data at any time by signing out from the extension popup or by removing the extension from your browser.
4. How data is shared
The extension does not sell your data, and does not share it with any third parties.
Data is transmitted only to the moderation server whose address you configure. The extension does not send data to the developer, to advertising networks, or to analytics services. There is no third-party tracking of any kind.
If you explicitly choose to share a moderator note with your organization (tenant) when saving it, that note is made visible to other moderators in your organization on your configured server. This happens only when you select that option; notes are private to you otherwise.
5. Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions it needs to function:
- Storage — to save your server URL, session token, username, and settings locally.
- Notifications — to show desktop notifications about new moderation events for your account.
- Alarms — to periodically check your server for new notifications in the background.
- Site access — by default the extension can access only y99.in and its default moderation server (mod.skye.li). If you choose to connect a different, self-hosted server, the extension asks for permission to access that server at the moment you sign in, and only after you explicitly grant it. It actively reads and displays moderation information only on y99.in.
6. Data retention
Locally stored data remains on your device until you sign out, clear it, or remove the extension. The extension developer does not retain any of your data, because none of it is transmitted to the developer.
7. Children’s privacy
skyemod. is a moderation tool intended for use by platform moderators and administrators. It is not directed at children.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised “last updated” date.
